FreeCol于近日发布了版本0.6.0，如果大家感兴趣，可以试玩一下这个游戏，之前的版本我没玩起来，真有些遗憾呀

这是一个在OpenOffice.org中实际Tab面的扩展，可以在此处下载。我试用了一下，发现关闭OpenOffice.org时会崩溃，且无法关闭单个Tab页，如果要关闭单个Tab页，需要使用组合键ctrl+F4。如果大家觉得比较好玩，可以在2.0.4以上版本的OpenOffice.org中安装试用。

Tonight we've released Pidgin 2.0.0beta7. This is the last in our long series of betas. We anticipate a final release later this week.

While previous betas in the 2.0.0 series have been extremely stable, and we recommended their use, this release is actually of beta quality. This is our first release to reflect the name change from Gaim to Pidgin, and so there are a lot of fairly significant changes here, which we'd like to see have broader testing before declaring it ready for release. If you would like to help us out, grab a copy from Sourceforge.net

I strongly recommend that you backup your ~/.gaim directory before running Pidgin for the first time. Windows users should see where their version of Windows stores their configuration files at our Win32 FAQ. Things you should be on the lookout for include problems with preferences being lost or forgotten, buddy icons not working as you expect, plugins or other external files not properly being found. If you find an issue that severely prohibits you from using 2.0.0beta7, please report it at http://developer.pidgin.im/.

There are a bunch of less fundamental, more cosmetic changes in this release that are sure to jump out at you. A lot of people have contributed a bunch in the transition from Gaim to Pidgin (and there's still a lot to be done), and we've been all too busy here to thank them all. I plan to acknowledge everyone with the 2.0.0 release. In the meantime, if you want to see what Pidgin developers are thinking, check out our currently-ugly Planet.

GNOME:Community中已经有了rpm包，但我安装了后，不能正常运行，很是遗憾，期待出正式版本了，如果大家感兴趣，可以试一下，我是在SLED 10 KDE桌面试的

最近的好消息还是挺多的，Pidgin 2.0.0已经于昨日发布了，可惜的是我用的是SLED 10，只能用SLE的rpm包，用SuSE Linux 10.1的rpm包安装后不能正常启动，链接如下，仅供参考：

Nine years later, Bugzilla is used by thousands of companies around the world with millions of total users. It has become the de-facto standard in open-source bug tracking. 　　 2007年5月15日，“首届OpenOffice.org国际高峰论坛”在北京圆满闭幕。本次论坛是由中国开源软件（OSS）推进联盟主办、北京红旗中文贰仟软件技术有限公司承办的一次专业性、国际性的开源产业盛会。数百位行业专家齐聚一堂，对开源软件的推广、开源软件的创新、开源企业的商业模式以及相关标准等中外专家关注的前沿问题进行了多方位的探讨。

　　信息产业部产品司陈英副司长、中国开源软件（OSS）推进联盟主席陆首群、中国工程院院士倪光南、红旗中文2000公司总经理胡才勇、OpenOffice.org开源社区负责人Louis Suárez-Potts 先生、Sun公司OpenOffice.org项目负责人Michael Bemmer先生、Sun公司副总裁兼中国研究院院长王星耀在论坛分别作精彩演讲。

同时，在会上红旗中文2000公司与Sun公司OpenOffice.org项目负责人Michael Bemmer先生签署了全面合作协议，该协议的签署表明了红旗中文2000公司已经开始全面加入到OpenOffice.org社区当中，红旗中文2000公司将会在世界领先的免费办公套件开发中，对全球OpenOffice.org社区做出贡献。实际上，在这次协议签署之前，红旗中文2000公司就已经研发了著名的基于开源软件的RedOffice办公套件，而且红旗中文2000公司目前拥有一支超过50人的开源研发队伍，并从去年夏天就开始研发该项目。Sun公司OpenOffice.org项目负责人Michael Bemmer先生说“我们已经看到了与红旗中文2000公司合作的前景，而这次协议的签署也是一个好的开始。”

历时三年多（planned 2004-02-11 10:09，integrated 2007-05-22 22:21），OpenOffice.org CWS chart2mst3于近日成功集成到SRC680m213中。这项对OpenOffice.org图表模块的全新实施包含了332个大小任务，更新源代码文件2003个。预计本周稍晚些时候将会正式发布相应的源代码与开发版的软件安装，按计划，原图表模块sch就此结束在源代码主干中的历史使命，也将在不久的将来结束在MWS中的存在。
在新图表模块的基础上，OpenOffice.org还将对图表功能进行持续改进，其中值得关注的就是对MS Excel三维图表的兼容性改进，现有的Issue 67754（right angle axes option for 3D charts）已经着手实施，其最终目标是要实现三维图表水平X轴与垂直Y轴，在显示平面上最终显示为呈直角的两个轴，提供这一可选项后， OpenOffice.org的三维图表将会更好地兼容MS Excel三维图表，又不失OpenOffice.org三维图表的原有特色，此任务将会在CWS chart06中实施。以下为OpenOffice.org三维图表与MS Excel三维图表的显示对比：

Stellarium 0.9.0 released!

The Stellarium team is proud to announce the release version 0.9.0 of Stellarium, the open source planetarium for your computer. Stellarium shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like you would see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope. Just set your coordinates and go.


New features for version 0.9.0:

* Larger star catalogue including stars from Hipparcos, Tycho2 and NOMAD (much of this available as a separate download)

* New sky cultures: Lakota, Navajo, Inuit, including Inuit constellation art by Johan Meuris

* New projections: Orthographic, Lamberts Equal Area, Cylinder

* Better accuracy of planetary positions

* New orbital calculation class making it possible to add comet objects (no special visualisation yet however)

* Window resizing. Full screen toggle should now work for Windows & OSX

* Fly to planets by pressing control-G when one is selected

* Landscape locations - can set the location according to the landscape

* Places of interest on Earth (city positions improved), the Moon (mission sites) and Mars (mission sites).

* New landscape: Garching, (near Munich, Germany)

* Data file layout change, which should make it easier to install extra landscapes, scripts and so on

* Some new nebula textures; more precise positioning of nebula textures

There have also been a lot of minor bug fixes, and significant changes to the code base, which make it possible for third parties to write their own modules for Stellarium, (although the API is not stable yet).

GIMP 2.3.18 Development Release  2007-06-12

GIMP 2.3.18 is a snapshot of current development towards GIMP 2.4. The source code can be downloaded from the usual places. This release not only fixes the bug that made 2.3.17 crash every so often, it also improves the quality of the zoomed out image view and provides better performance when working with large images. Check the NEWS file for an overview of the changes in this release.
