兼容的问题

小第需要一个测试网速的插件,找来找去就只有一个Bandwidth Tester ,还居然没有被各各大大们给汉化,英文就英文吧,可让我郁闷的是这个小东西还居然不和1.5.0.1兼容,我这个郁闷就甭提了. 终于又看个一个国际友人找到了能兼容的办法了,可一看全是英文,看的不是很明白.
恳求啊 盼望啊 哪位好心人能把以下的鸟文给翻译成中文.

This is a very useful utility, but a snafu by the author prevents the full marks. When will support for 1.5.0.1 will be made available? For now use these instructions (thanks One Pence) to install and enjoy this tool: 1. Download the 0.5.5 version (0.5.6 is MIA). the same instructions that were provided in a earlier comment by One Pence will still work: 2. Download (do not install) the bandwidthtest.xpi from http://www.roundtwo.com/product/bandwidthtester (right click on the Install button on the main page and do save-as). 3. Use WinRAR (or WinZip) to open (not extract) the bandwidthtest.xpi . Extract install.rdf file ONLY. 4. Use your favorite text editor that accepts UNIX newline as well as crlf (notepad will work but will look ugly, if you must use it turn on word wrap) to modify the maxVersion of the Firefox section to 1.5.0.1 . 5. Replace install.rdf inside the bandwidthtest.xpi. make sure that the relative path in the archive is still the same (root of the archive). 6. Install the bandwidthtest.xpi extension into Firefox normally 7. Run it and see how much your ISP is lying to you. Nick.

有个简单的方法，nightly-test-tools扩展

大意如下：
1、下载0.5.5版本
2、下载但是不安装bandwidthtest.xpi
3、用winrar或者winzip打开bandwidthtest.xpi，将install.rdf文件解压出来
4、用你喜欢的文本编辑器（例如：写字板，最好不用记事本）将install.rdf文件打开，然后将firefox的maxversion改为1.5.0.1
5、将修改后的install.rdf文件重新压缩到bandwidthtest.xpi中
6、正常安装
