Why does this URL take you to xinhuanet.com? (updated)

If I click on the URL below in Firefox, it takes me to xinhuanet.com.
In IE, I get the expected "The page cannot be displayed" message.

This rule is ONLY applicable to firefox 1.5.0.x on windows.

I think that is because of you are using "Gecko/20060516 SeaMonkey/1.0.2" not "Firefox/1.5.0.X"

You can try to use Firefox 1.5.0.x in windows, and then the link  "http://http" will take you to "xinhuanet.com" or another website.回到原帖

FireFox有一个自动添加.com .net后缀的功能，而IE没有
也就是说在FF地址栏输入"http://http"会转换为"http://www.http.com"或者其它后缀的

应该是Google干的，在状态栏上明显有Google干事的痕迹，我被弄到了微软，呵呵，真有意思

这次我转到了人民网，很奇怪哦，每次都可能不同。
