[Ext]Spectator (收集Firefox用户的使用习惯)

看到标题应该容易觉得是个危险的东西－－收集使用习惯是间谍软件干的事儿吧？但是，这却是为数不多经过Mozilla签名的扩展之一，安装后在扩展列表中是高亮显示的安全扩展. (见附件，装上后名叫Metrics Collector)

简单说来，mozillazine论坛有人建议用nightly的用户们都装上。这个扩展会收集你使用Firefox的方式(extensions installed, screen resolution, arch, installdate, etc... NOT history)，这些信息由xml存放并通过安全的方式交送开发人员分析，也只收集与Firefox开发相关的信息而决不会收集私人信息。说起来，有点像Firefox 3.0的崩溃报告器(Breakpad)，用户无需复杂的知识和繁琐的操作，就能自动提交对软件开发有用的信息。

We hope to use it to make Firefox better. For the first time, we'll be able to see how the user interacts with the browser. We'll know how many extensions people use. We'll be able to track if that fancy new star gets any action. From the 3 users we already have, we can say that the most common UI Event sequence is "close a window then open a tab". Lets use that info to make the best "close a window and open a tab" experience in the world!

使用方法：显然没有什么特别要用户关注的，都在后台进行，只不过对好奇和不放心的用户，可以地址栏输入about:metrics看看都收集了什么，不过这个xml文件内容也是被hash加密了的，放心吧。

我想安全性应该是没有问题的，如果大家希望火狐以后发展的更好，就尝试一下这个扩展吧！
